Our most exciting new holiday incursion. The creative fun of painting with the skill of archery. Physical exercise meets artistic expression. Art-Chery teaches children the basics of archery and invites them to use their new skill to create bright artworks.
This is a great event for kids who are interested in trying out something unique to their daily lives. Art-Chery uses special made arrows heads that allow the kids to fire paint at canvas to create their own works of art. Great for both girls and boys with arts and crafts meeting exercise. We offer a choice of a Regular or Premium package.
For Art-Chery we supply 2 or 3 staff members.
Offered a 1.5 hour session for up to 24 participants. Packages are divided into groups of 12 each participating for 45 minutes. Please call the office and have a chat about how best to present this awesome event.
1. Introduction to Archery. A very basic tutorial in the use of the bows and arrows, especially important for younger children. They get to shoot at Archery targets with safety arrows. Learn the basic on how to hold the bow, load it and fire it. We use a bow called “The Panda” it’s designed for small kids, left or right handed
2. Mural Design. Each child is then given time to shoot arrows loaded with various paint colours at the large mural piece. In case any younger children have still not felt confident with the use of the archery style, there will be alternative painting options that still allow them to contribute to the groups project. At the end the mural is given to the vacation centre to keep.
3. Individual A3 size canvas boards for each child to make their own artwork. These canvas boards will then be labelled and left to dry so that each child can take home their original Art-Chery Artwork to keep.
The best location for this event is an oval. We can do it under cover on concrete, we will make every attempt to minimalise mess however the school should expect some paint to be on the ground. An additional will be charged if the school requires a full clean (spotless) clean up of the area.
Hot days – When possible we do this event in the shade. When shade isn’t an option an undercover location will be searched for. If the temp on the day is too high to have children in the sun for an extended period alternative arrangements may need to be made. Our Wet weather policy is the same.
Vehicle access is also required where physically possible. Due to the large amount of equipment this event requires we do need to be able to gain access as close as possible to the location of the event. If a risk assessment is required to bring our vehicle onto site please let us know beforehand so we can prepare one.
